Honda is developing an electric motorcycle based on its popular Shine 100 commuter bike. Patent filings have revealed details about this upcoming model, which aims to offer a cost-effective electric alternative for urban commuters.

- Chassis & Frame: The electric bike utilizes the existing Shine 100 frame, allowing Honda to minimize development costs and expedite time-to-market. The frame houses a compact mid-mounted motor connected to a single-speed reduction gear and chain, similar to the internal combustion engine (ICE) version.
- Battery Configuration: Instead of a traditional fuel tank, the design incorporates two removable lithium-ion battery packs positioned on either side of the frame.
